We continue to our next stop, the Far West Temple Site, to see the corner stones that were placed and the plaques that explain the importance of this site. We stop in Hamilton to pick up box lunches and then continue on to Adam-ondi-Ahman, where many significant events have taken place and where important future events will occur. This morning we have a full buffet breakfast at the hotel before we begin our adventure into Nauvoo-The City Beautiful. We start at the LDS Visitors Center where we can enjoy the tribute Gardens with its many statues honoring women. We then view the new film “Joseph Smith, Prophet of the Restoration” to get us ready to see the city our pioneer ancestors built from a swamp. After a lunch stop, we continue our tour at the Joseph Smith homestead, the Mansion House, the Red Brick Store, and gravesites of Joseph, Emma, Hyrum and other family members that are buried there. We have time to walk the Trail of Hope and read excerpts from personal diaries of the Saints. Our understanding increases as we read about the hardships and struggles they went through. We have dinner at the hotel and the remainder of the evening is at our leisure. This is a great time to walk to the temple for some night photos.

Nauvoo/Carthage/Branson/Million Dollar Quartet

We bid farewell to Nauvoo as we travel the old road to Carthage, where we view the production of the “Life of The Prophet Joseph Smith” that is shown exclusively at this Visitor's Center. At the conclusion of the production, we tour the jail itself where the Prophet Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum were martyred. There is an amazing feeling of love and sacrifice present as we enter the bedroom door still showing the actual bullet holes from the attack that ended Joseph and Hyrum's lives. Lunch is en route to Branson, MO, America's #1 Entertainment destination. Dinner tonight is at the famed Lamberts restaurant, "home of the throwed rolls," REALLY!

We start off our Branson entertainment seeing the Million Dollar Quartet. The Million Dollar Quartet is an all-new production and a Tony Award winning Broadway musical. It is inspired by the electrifying true story of the famed recording session where Sam Phillips, the Father of Rock ‘n Roll brought together icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins for one unforgettable night. On December 4, 1956, a twist of fate brought together the four future rock and roll legends. The place was Sun Records storefront studio in Memphis. The man who made it happen was Sam Phillips, the owner of Sun Records who discovered them all. The four legends-to-be united for the only time in their careers for an impromptu recording that has come to be known as one of the greatest rock jam sessions of all time. This show features a treasure trove of the greatest rock ‘n roll, gospel, R&B, and country hits from these music legends, including Blue Suede Shoes, Fever, Sixteen Tons, Who Do You Love?, Great Balls of Fire, Ghost Riders, and Whole Lotta Shakin Goin On. Million Dollar Quartet captures the infectious spirit and thrilling sounds of a singular moment when four of the music industry’s most extraordinary talents, all in their creative prime, came together for one of the most memorable nights in music history.

As singer and bass player, he has expanded from that childhood band with more than 20 years in Branson, and his own self-titled theater.

After a lunch break we are off to see George Dyer. Acclaimed by many as one of the finest tenors in the world, George Dyer adds a polished showmanship and audience connection that will make you feel as if you were on Broadway, in Las Vegas, or at the Met! Accompanied by an award winning five-piece band, George sings a variety of musical genres including power ballads, Broadway hits, love songs, classic standards, favorite oldies, gospel, and more.

After a great dinner at Florentina’s, we enjoy The Duttons Show.  The Duttons are international touring and recording artist family who perform bluegrass to classical music, and everything in between. Their show features a variety of instruments including violin, guitar, bass, viola, banjo, mandolin, keyboard, harmonica, and drums among others. The Duttons have garnered awards and recognition in national fiddling contests, classical violin competitions, and as studio musicians.  In addition to their instrumental virtuosity, the Duttons are accomplished singers and dancers and have been recognized as superb vocal talents. Behind the scenes, the Duttons collaborate to create unique production ideas for their crowd-pleasing show, which is produced by the family, including choreography, musical arrangement, technical support, and marketing.
