Day 2: Tuesday, July 10, 2018

Kirtland

We depart this morning for Hiram, OH to visit the John Johnson Farm. It was at the Johnson farm that Joseph Smith received the vision of the three degrees of glory.  Next we’ll see the Temple Quarry and have a picnic lunch. We will spend the afternoon visiting the Historic Kirtland village including; the LDS Visitor’ s Center, the Whitney Home and Store, the Johnson Inn, the Ashery, the Sawmill, and the Morley Farm. Accommodations: Holiday Inn. (B,L,D)

Day 3: Wednesday, July 11, 2018

Kirtland-Niagara Falls-Palmyra

This morning we’ll visit the Kirtland Temple. Relative to the meager resources of the Saints at the time, the Kirtland Temple is probably the most costly temple ever constructed by the church.  Next we continue our journey to Niagara Falls, the oldest state park in the USA. We’ll board the Maid of the Mist boat which passes directly in front of the falls and enters Horseshoe Basin. This is a fun activity you don’t want to miss! After free time for shopping and dinner we travel to Palmyra, NY. (B)

Day 4: Thursday, July 12, 2018

Harmony, PA-Palmyra

Today we will visit the new Priesthood Restoration Site in Susquehanna County, PA. We’ll see the new visitor’s center and meetinghouse, the reconstructed homes of Joseph and Emma Smith and Isaac and Elizabeth Hale, the woods where John the Baptist restored the priesthood, the baptismal site at the Susquehanna River, and the new statuary. Accommodations: The Palmyra Inn. (B,D)

Day 5: Friday, July 13, 2018

Palmyra - Fayette - Hill Cumorah Pageant

Early this morning we will visit the Sacred Grove and reflect on the special events that took place here.

Next we’ll see the restored Joseph Smith Sr. home and farm including the restored log cabin where Moroni first appeared to Joseph Smith. Next, we will stop at the E.B. Grandin Building where the Book of Mormon was printed. After lunch we’ll see the grave site of Alvin Smith, Joseph’s eldest brother then we will travel to Fayette, NY to visit the Peter Whitmer Farm where the Church was organized on April 6, 1830. Tonight we’ll see the Hill Cumorah and witness the highlight of our tour, “The Hill Cumorah Pageant”. Accommodations: Palmyra Inn. (B,L,D)

Day 6: Saturday, July 14, 2018

Palmyra - Rochester Airport

This morning we will meet in the Grove one last time to reflect on the things we have seen, learned and felt this week.  Next we will drive to the top of Hill Cumorah and see the statue of Moroni and say our final farewell to Palmyra. We conclude our tour with an afternoon flight home. (B)
